Alan Cumming, Jessica Hecht to Star in CSC Reading of Tennessee Williams’ Two Character Play

Tony Award winner Alan Cumming and Tony nominee Jessica Hecht will star in Classic Stage Company’s staged reading of Tennessee Williams’ The Two Character Play, to be presented on Monday, May 9 at 8pm.

The piece is set in an unspecified theater at an unspecified location, where Felice and Clare relentlessly wait backstage for the curtain to go up on the opening performance of “The Two Character Play.” Abandoned by the rest of their acting company and faced with an uncertain audience, brother and sister carry on with the show despite their desolate condition.
