Adina Aaron, Michelle Johnson, Eric Owens Set for Glimmerglass Festival’s Aida
The Glimmerglass Festival is set to present a new production of Verdi’s Aida, July 7-August 15 at the Alice Busch Opera Theater. Artistic director Francesca Zambello will direct, and Nader Abbassi will conduct.
The title role will be sung by Adina Aaron for the first three performances and Michelle Johnson from July 23 onward. The cast will also feature Eric Owens as Amonasro, Noah Stewart as Radamès, and Daveda Karanas as Amneris.
The design team will include Bibhu Mohapatra (costume design), Lee Savage (set design), Robert Wierzel (lighting design), and Eric Sean Fogel (choreography).
