Actors’ Equity Announces 2005-2006 Theater Grants

The Actors’ Equity Foundation has announced the recipients of the 2005-2006 Theater Grants — which it awards annually to not-for-profit theaters that enhance employment opportunities for stage actors and stage managers, have a wide range of financial and artistic profiles, and operate under various Equity contracts.

This year, 63 theaters nationwide share in more than $54,850. Among the institutions who received grants are the Arden Theatre Company, the Atlantic Theater Company, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, East West Players, Manhattan Theatre Club, the New Group, New York Theatre Workshop, Primary Stages, the Purple Rose Theatre, Stages St. Louis, and The Vineyard Theatre.
