Ghostlight Records will release an original cast recording of the Public Theater's production of A Second Chance, directed by Jonathan Butterell and featuring a book and score by theater producer and angel investor Ted Shen.

A Second Chance marks Shen's debut as a musical theater writer. The production was performed in a limited engagement at the Public Theater from March 18-April 14. Based loosely on Shen's own experiences, the story follows the relationship that develops between widower Dan and recent divorcée Jenna as they struggle with their painful pasts. The show costarred real-life married couple Brian and Diane Sutherland.

The creative team featured scenic design by Robert Brill, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Jen Schriever, sound design by Jonathan Deans, projections by Rocco DiSanti, and music direction by Zak Sandler.

The album will be released online and in stores August 5.
