Seth Numrich, Tony Shalhoub, Yvonne Strahovski Introduce Broadway’s Golden Boy

The cast of Lincoln Center Theater’s 75th anniversary revival of Clifford Odets’ Golden Boy met the press on Thursday, October 25. Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher helms the drama, which begins previews at Broadway’s Belasco Theatre on November 8 in advance of a December 6 opening.

Seth Numrich stars as Joe Bonaparte, the titular Golden Boy, a 21-year-old violinist who is corrupted by notoriety when he decides to become a professional boxer.

The principal company also includes Tony Shalhoub as Mr. Bonaparte, Yvonne Strahovski as Lorna Moon, Danny Burstein as Tokio, Dagmara Dominczyk as Anna Bonaparte, Michael Aronov as Siggie, Danny Mastrogiorgio as Tom Moody, Anthony Crivello as Eddie Fusseli, Jonathan Hadary as Mr. Carp, Ned Eisenberg as Roxy Gottlieb, and Daniel Jenkins as Barker.

Demosthenes Chrysan, Sean Cullen, Brad Fleischer, Karl Glusman, Dion Mucciacito, Vayu O’Donnell, Lucas Caleb Rooney, and David Wohl are also featured in the company.

Golden Boy will feature scenic design by Michael Yeargan, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Donald Holder, and sound design by Peter John Still and Marc Salzberg.
