Tituss Burgess, Lindsay Mendez, Karen Ziemba to Honor Alan Menken at Encompass New Opera Theatre Gala

Celebrated stage and screen composer Alan Menken will be honored by the Encompass New Opera Theatre on Sunday, October 21 at the National Arts Club. The gala will begin at 6pm, with a performance at 7pm.
The show will feature performances by Broadway stars Tituss Burgess, Lindsay Mendez, and Karen Ziemba. There will also be recollections by Jack Feldman, Stephen Schwartz, Glenn Slater, and Maury Yeston. Beth Ertz will serve as musical director/pianist.
Menken won the 2012 Tony and Drama Desk awards for his work on Newsies. He also composed the scores for the stage musicals Little Shop of Horrors, Leap of Faith and Sister Act, as well as adding additional music to his film scores of The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin for their stage incarnations. He has also received multiple Oscars and Grammy awards.
