Flight, Hyde Park on the Hudson, Not Fade Away Set for New York Film Festival

Main selections have been announced for the 50th annual New York Film Festival, to run September 28-October 14 at Lincoln Center.

Among the films to premeire there wil be Roger Michell’s Hyde Park on the Hudson, with a screenplay by playwright Richard Nelson, starring Bill Murray and Laura Linney; David Chase’s Not Fade Away, which focuses on a group of friends who form a rock band in 1960s New Jersey and stars stage and screen veterans Will Brill, Brad Garrett, and James Gandolfini; and Robert Zemeckis’ thriller Flight starring Oscar winner and Tony winner Denzel Washington.

The festival will open with Oscar winner Ang Lee’s adaptation of the best-selling novel Life of Pi and will also include Noah Baumbach’s Frances Ha, Brian de Palma’s Passion, and Sally Potter’s Ginger & Rosa.
