SoHo Playhouse has announced selections for its 2012-13 three-play season.
PigPen Theatre Co. will kick off the season with The Old Man and the Old Moon, to be presented at The Gym at Judson, September 26-November 25, with an opening on October 4.
The piece tells the tale of an old man who must abandon his duties of filling up the moon every month, to cross the seas in search of his missing wife.
Drama Desk-nominated writer/performer Baba Brinkman will return with Ingenious Nature, to be presented at the Playhouse November 20-January 6, with an opening on December 2. Darren Lee Cole will direct this new theatrical mix-tape that takes a look at dating and evolution. Music and Turntablism will be by Mr. Simmonds.
Lisa Peterson will direct Hamlet In Bed is a new play/event from Michael Laurence, to open at the Playhouse in January 2013. The piece centers on an actor and adoptee obsessed with two things – finding his real mother, and playing the famous Gloomy Dane.
