PHOTO FLASH: Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark Celebrates 1,000,000th Audience Member

Yvelisse Fermin from Flushing, Queens was named the 1,000, 000th person to attend Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, at the Foxwoods Theatre, at the Wednesday, May 16 matinee. She attended the show with her boyfriend, Alex Hellinger.


She was greeted on stage by cast members following the performance, including Reeve Carney, Rebecca Faulkenberry, Patrick Page, Michael Mulheren, and Christina Sajous.

The musical is inspired by over 40 years of Marvel comic books. It follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and must learn that with great powers comes great responsibility.


It features music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley, original direction by Julie Taymor, and a book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
