92YTribeca has announced its theater-related programming for June, which will include a discussion with and performance by members of the cast and creative team of the Broadway musical, Catch Me If You Can, to be offered on June 9 at noon. Participants for the event will be announced shortly.

In addition, Beth Lapides will perform her interdisciplinary, multimedia music-theater piece 100% Happy 88% of the Time at the space on June 8 at 8pm. In the show, which has songs written and performed by Mitch Kaplan, Lapides explores how one can remain happy, even in difficult, changing times.

92YTribeca will also offer Religion on the Stage: From Jesus Christ Superstar to The Book of Mormon on June 17 at 7pm. This event, which will also feature a gourmet Shabbat dinner, will feature a conversation between New York Observer theater reviewer Jesse Oxfeld and 92YTribeca’s Rabbi-in-Residence Dan Ain, who will discuss this year’s Tony Awards and the impact that Jews have had on the art of musical theater since its inception.
