First Look at New Production of August Wilson's Seven Guitars

Brandon J. Dirden directs the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-nominated American drama at Two River Theater.

August Wilson's classic drama Seven Guitars is now in performance at Red Bank, New Jersey's Two River Theater, with an official opening set for Friday, September 18. The production runs through October 4.

Set in 1948 Pittsburgh, the play continues Wilson's exploration of racial identity in America. Brandon J. Dirden directs a cast that features Brittany Bellizeare (Ruby), Brian D. Coats (Hedley), Crystal A. Dickinson (Louise), Jason Dirden (Canewell), Charlie Hudson III (Red Carter), Kevin Mambo (Floyd Barton), and Christina Acosta Robinson (Vera).

The creative team includes scenic designer Michael Carnahan, costume designer Karen Perry, lighting designer Driscoll Otto, and sound designer David Margolin Lawson, with original music by Jason Moran.
