Sandy Duncan will star in the world premiere of Joe DiPietro’s Creating Claire, to run May 11 – June 6 at George Street Playhouse. David Saint will direct the production.

The play focuses on a docent at a natural history museum (Duncan) who finds herself embroiled in controversy when her tour guide patter deviates from the strict scientific beliefs of her supervisor. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Duncan received Tony Award nominations for her roles in The Boyfriend, Canterbury Tales, and Peter Pan. She also appeared on Broadway in Love Is a Time of Day, My One and Only, and Chicago, and last year, she starred in the City Center Encores! production of No, No, Nanette.
