Pearce Bunting, Christian Conn, et al. Set for Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Grapes of Wrath

Full casting has been announced for the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s production of The Grapes of Wrath, which will run October 21 – November 15. Joe Discher will direct.

Adapted by Frank Galati, from the novel by John Steinbeck, the play details the Joad family’s flight from the Dust Bowl during the Great Depression.

The cast will feature Christian Conn (Tom Joad), Pearce Bunting (Jim Casey), James Michael Reilly (Floyd Knowles), Wendy Barrie-Wilson (Ma Joad), John Little (Pa Joad) and Jim Mohr (Gampa Joad), as well as Michael Daly, James Patrick Earley, Jay Leibowitz, Nick Plakias, Jake Berger, Rebecca Davis, Jesse Easterling, Philip Guerette, Olivia Haleblian, Elizabeth Hess, Kate Ivins, Connor Dugan Leszczuk, Susan Maris, Bette Moore, Jack Moran, Tim Nicolai, Stefanie Resnick, and Noah Verzani.

The creative team includes Marion Williams (scenic design), Maggie Dick (costume design), Matthew Adelson (lighting design), and Steve Beckel (sound design). Nick Plakias will compose original music.
