New Les Miserables Tour to Launch at Paper Mill Playhouse; Initial Stops Announced logo
The Paper Mill Playhouse's previously announced production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg's Les Miserables (November 19 - December 19) will be the first engagement in a multi-year 25th anniversary North American tour.

The tour will then continue with engagements at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, PA (January 4-16), the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, FL (January 18-30), the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore, MD (March 1-6), the Kentucky Center for the Arts in Louisville, KY (March 8-13), the Ohio Theatre in Columbus, OH (March 15-20), the Fisher Theatre in Detroit, MI (March 22-April 3), the Palace Theatre/Playhouse Square in Cleveland, OH (April 5-17), the Walton Center in Fayetteville, AR (May 3-8) and the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake City, UT (May 24-June 5). Additional tour engagements, as well as casting, will be announced at a later date.

This production will be directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell, who are responsible for a new staging of the Tony Award-winning musical in the U.K. That production is currently on a UK tour, and also, as previously reported, will play an engagement in London later this year.

The 25th anniversary staging of the show will feature designs by Matt Kinley inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, with costumes by Andreane Neofitou and additional costumes by Christine Rowlands, lighting by Paule Constable and sound by Mick Potter.
