Struck starts its run at New Jersey Repertory Company this evening.

Fate and coincidence are at odds in this play, which begins after Vera Resnick has been hit by a bicycle while crossing an East Village intersection. The coming together of the two lives seems to indicate greater forces at play, as Vera’s simple and predictable life evolves into a new and exciting adventure. At turns funny and serious, the show tackles this possible cosmic event and the search truth in the face of deception.

Don Stephenson directs Sandy Rustin’s play, which features Jenny Bacon, Adam Bradley, Susan Maris, Ben Puvalowski, and Matthew Shepard.

The creative team includes Jessica Parks (set and props design), Brian Snyder (Technical Director), Patricia E. Doherty (costume design), Jill Nagle (lighting design), Merek Royce Press (sound design), and Jennifer Tardibuono (stage manager).

Performances will run through July 31.
