Full casting has been announced for Paper Mill Playhouse’s mainstage production of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman’s musical Little Shop of Horrors, to be presented June 4-July 6, with an opening set for June 8. Mark Waldrop will direct.

The musical is based on Roger Corman’s 1960 sci-fi comedy about a down-and-out clerk in a downtown flower shop, who discovers an unusual plant…with an even more unusual appetite. It includes several show-stopping numbers including “Skid Row (Downtown),” “Somewhere That’s Green,” and “Suddenly Seymour,” as well as the title song.

The cast will include Stephen Berger (Mushnik), Darin DePaul, Badia Farha (Crystal), Jenny Fellner (Audrey), Jared Gertner (Seymour), Montego Glover (Chiffon), Angela Grovey (Ronnette), Stacey Harris, Michael Latini, Michael James Leslie (Voice of Audrey 2), Asa Somers (Orin) and Tally Sessions.

The creative team will include Adam Koch (scenic coordination), Matthew Hemesath (costumes), Ben Stanton (lighting), and Randy Hansen (sound).

In other Paper Mill news, Christine Ebersole will headline the company’s 70th Anniversary Gala, to be held at 6pm on Saturday, May 31 at the Hilton in Short Hills. Tickets begin at $1,250 per person and can be ordered by calling 973-379-3636, ext. 2236.
