Walking Shadow Theatre Company Announces Cast for reasons to be pretty

Walking Shadow Theatre Company has announced casting for its upcoming production of Neil LaBute’s reasons to be pretty, September 16-October 2, in the Dowling Studio at the Guthrie. Amy Rummenie will direct.

In this Tony Award-nominated dark comedy, LaBute explores America’s obsession with physical beauty. Two young working-class couples discover that simple comments can backfire horribly when Greg casually comments to a friend that he finds his girlfriend Steph to be normal looking (even though he wouldn’t trade her for the world) and his buddy Kent is looking for his next casual encounter, unbeknownst to Kent’s wife Carly.

The cast will include Joseph Bombard as Greg, Rachel Finch as Carly, Andrew Sass as Kent, and Anna Sundberg as Steph. The artistic team will be comprised of scenic designer Steve Kath, costume designer Renata Shaffer-Gottschalk, lighting designer Karin Olson, and stage manager Sarah Holmberg.
