Full casting has been announced for the national tour of Shakespeare’s Henry V, to be co-produced by the Guthrie Theater and The Acting Company. The show will kick off at the Guthrie, January 10-February 1, with an opening set for January 14. Davis McCallum will direct.

The Shakespearean epic follows a charismatic warrior King and his men through the brutality of warfare, as the ragtag band confronts heavy opposition and their own destinies in an aggressive pursuit of the French crown.

Matthew Amendt will star in the title role, with the ensemble cast (playing almost 50 roles between them) including Freddy Arsenault, Georgia Cohen, Kelley Curran, Rick Ford, Andy Grotelueschen, Carie Kawa, Robert Michael McClure, Ron Menzel, William Sturdivant, Samuel Taylor, and Sonny Valicenti.

The creative team will include Neil Patel (set), Anita Yavich (costumes), Victor Zupanc (music), Michael Chybowski (lighting), Scott W. Edwards (sound), and John Sipes (fight direction).

Following its Guthrie engagement, Henry V will tour in repertory with Jeffrey Hatcher’s world premiere adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper’s The Spy, directed by John Miller-Stephany.
