Cast and Creative Team Set for Grey Gardens at the Ordway Center

Cast and creative team information has been announced for the regional premiere of Grey Gardens, set to play the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts March 17-May 17, with an opening on March 25. James Rocco and Jayme McDaniel will co-direct this production.

The Doug Wright-Michael Korie-Scott Frankel musical brings to life the eccentric aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Set in two eras — 1941 when their estate was in its prime, and 1973 when it was reduced to squalor — the musical tells the hilarious and heartbreaking story of these two women, who became East Hampton’s most notorious recluses.

The cast will star Wendy Lehr as Edith Bouvier Beale and Christina Baldwin as her daughter, “Little” Edie. Also featured in the production will be Joshua James Campbell as Joe Kennedy and Jerry, “the Marble Faun”; Addie Johansen as Jackie Bouvier; Richard Ooms as Major Bouvier and Norman Vincent Peale; Zoe Pappas as Young “Little” Edie Beale; Reggie Phoenix as Brooks Jr. and Sr.; and Kacie Riddle and Hayley Koop alternating as Lee Bouvier.

The design team will feature Lyle Jackson and Ellen Roeder (costumes), Kate Sutton-Johnson (set), Michael P. Kittel (lighting), and Reid Rejsa (sound).
