Zayn and Zhavia Ward to Perform New Version of Aladdin's "A Whole New World"

The song will be heard in the end credits of the upcoming live-action reboot.

Music superstar Zayn and emerging singer-songwriter Zhavia Ward will perform a new version of Aladdin's "A Whole New World," to be featured in the upcoming live-action reboot's end credits and on the Walt Disney Records soundtrack. The song is now available as a single and music video. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 21, with the physical album release to follow on May 24. Check out the video below.

The remake of the animated Disney feature stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, Will Smith as the Genie, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. Tony nominee Billy Magnussen also joins as Prince Anders, a new role created for the film. Guy Ritchie directs, with a screenplay by John August.

Aladdin was originally released in 1992, featuring music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. The stage musical Aladdin opened at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, 2014, with Jonathan Freeman reprising his original performance as Jafar. The production earned five Tony nominations, including Best Musical and Best Original Score.
