Tim Robbins To Host Gala Post-Performance Reception for Actors’ Gang Cantonsville Nine

Tim Robbins will host a special gala post-show reception at the final performance of The Actors’ Gang production of The Trial of the Catonsville Nine on August 30 at the Ivy Substation in Culver City. The show is embarking on a tour of the East Coast and Australia after this run.

The play, by Daniel Berrigan, S.J., explores the historical trial in 1968 of two Catholic priests and seven fellow Catholic activists who committed an act of civil disobedience in protest of the War in Vietnam.

The production features Colin Golden, Scott Harris, George Ketsios, Ethan Kogan, Corey G. Lovett, Adele Robbins, Chris Schultz, Patti Tippo, Andrew E. Wheeler, and Paige Lindsey White.

Tim Robbins is one of the founders of The Actors Gang, and most recently, staged his own adaptation of George Orwell’s 1984 with the company. He is best known for his film work, including Mystic River and Bull Durham.
