Susan Sarandon to Star in Ping-Pong Summer Film

Stage and screen star Susan Sarandon will star in the upcoming film, Ping-Pong Summer, according to Deadline.com. Michael Tully is writing the screenplay and will direct.
The film is set in the summer of 1985, and centers on a teenage boy obsessed with ping-pong.
Sarandon’s Broadway credits include Exit the King and An Evening with Richard Nixon and…. She has been nominated five times for the Best Actress Oscar for Atlantic City, Thelma & Louise, Lorenzo’s Oil, The Client, and Dead Man Walking, winning for the latter.
