2009 Tony Award nominee Stockard Channing will star in a reading of Eve Ensler's O.P.C. (Obsessive Political Correctness), as a one-night benefit for Global Green USA & V-Day. The performance will be at the Santa Monica Bay Women's Club on May 29 at 8 pm.

Ensler's new play explores consumption and politics, and concerns a 25-year-old Harvard drop-out and environmentalist whose world is sent spinning off its axis when her mother decides to run for a U.S. Senate seat. The cast will also include Brenda Currin, Greg Itzin, Ravi Kapoor, Analeis Lorig, Liz Mikels, Lee Pace, and Andrea Riseborough.

Channing is currently Tony-nominated for playing Vera Simpson in Pal Joey. She won a Tony Award for Joe Egg, and received additional Tony nominations for The House of Blue Leaves, Six Degrees of Separation, Four Baboons Adoring the Sun and The Lion in Winter. She won Emmy Awards for The West Wing and The Matthew Shepard Story, and was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe when she recreated her role in the film version of Six Degrees of Separation.
