Olympia Dukakis, Manoel Felciano, Annie Purcell, Pamela Reed, et al. Set for Getty Villa’s Elektra

Casting has been announced for Carey Perloff’s staging of Timberlake Wertenbaker’s new translation of Sophocles’ Elektra, to be presented as part of the Getty Villa Theater Lab Series, September 9 -October 2.

The cast will feature Annie Purcell (Elektra), Olympia Dukakis (Chorus Leader), Manoel Felciano (Orestes), Pamela Reed (Clytemnestra), Jack Willis (Tutor), Michael Wells (Percussionist/Pylades), Linda Park (Crysothemis), Tyrees Allen (Aegisthus), Theresa Wong (Cellist/Vocalist), and Sharon Omi (Cellist/Vocalist).

The Getty is concurrently showing the exhibition, The Art of Ancient Greek Theater.
