Emmy nominee Maya Rudolph will star in Fox's live presentation of Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, and Joseph Robinette's Tony-nominated musical version of the classic A Christmas Story. The broadcast will take place Sunday, December 17, 7pm-10pm, and be filmed at the historic Warner Bros. Studios in California.

Rudolph will play the mother of 9-year-old protagonist Ralphie Parker. Marc Platt and Adam Siegel executive-produce alongside Fox Broadcasting Company and Warner Horizon Unscripted Television.

Pasek and Paul, represented on Broadway with Dear Evan Hansen, will compose new songs for the event, with Jonathan Tolins and Robert Cary adapting the book. The live Fox broadcast follows in the footsteps of 2016's Grease: Live.

Nominated for six Drama Desk Awards and three Tonys (including Best Book, Best Score, and Best Musical), A Christmas Story is inspired by the cult-classic film of the same title and the stories of late humorist Jean Shepherd.

Full casting and additional information will be announced.
