Matt Bomer to Be Honored by GLSEN

Actor Matt Bomer and his partner, Slate PR co-founder Simon Halls, will be honored by GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network at the group’s eighth annual Respect Awards, to be held on October 5 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.


In addition, DreamWorks Animation co-founder and CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg and his wife, Marilyn, will receive the group’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Bomer appeared on Broadway and Los Angeles in one-night-only readings of Dustin Lance Black’s play 8. In addition, he will play Felix Turner in the film version of Larry Kramer’s play The Normal Heart .


He is best known for his portrayal of Neal Caffrey on television’s White Collar and can currently be seen on the big screen in Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike. The actor also guest starred last season on FOX’s Glee.
