Mary Birdsong, Missi Pyle Join Percy Jackson & The Olympians Film

Stage veterans Mary Birdsong and Missi Pyle have joined the cast of Thor Freudenthal’s film Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Sea of Monsters, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, based on the popular series of books, will also star Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jason, and Yvette Nicole Brown.
Birdsong’s many stage credits include the Broadway productions of Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me and Hairspray, as well as Tales of the City, In Mother Words, and Love, Loss, and What I Wore. She also starred on the TV series Reno 911.
Pyle appeared on Broadway in Boeing-Boeing. She can currently be seen on the big screen in the Oscar-winning film The Artist, and her many film and television credits include Two and Half Men, American Dad! Boston Legal, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
