Kate Reinders and More Join Disney's High School Musical Series

Production has commenced on the upcoming Disney series High School Musical: The Musical, developed and executive produced by Tim Federle (Tuck Everlasting) alongside showrunner and executive producer Oliver Goldstick.

Inspired by the High School Musical film franchise, the episode series follows a group of students as they get ready for opening night of their school's production of High School Musical. New songs and reinterpretations of the High School Musical score provide the show's soundtrack.

The show will star Broadway's Kate Reinders as drama teacher Miss Jenn, alongside Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Sofia Wylie, Matt Cornett, Dara Renee', Julia Lester Frankie Rodriguez, Larry Saperstein, and Mark St. Cyr.

Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush executive-produce. Tamra Davis is directing the first three episodes. The choreographer is Zach Woodlee.

Disney is the forthcoming streaming network of the Walt Disney Company.
