Julie Bermel, Mary Carrig, Michael Chandler, and More Set for HumanArts’ After the Fall

HumanArts Theater Company has announced casting for its presentation of Arthur Miller’s After the Fall, directed by RoZsa Horvath. The production will play Elephant Stages, Lillian Theatre, March 10- April 1.

Based on the playwright’s life and considered one of Miller’s most personal plays, After the Fall is an experimental portrait of a man on a quest to make peace with his own history, struggling with the choices he’s made in his public and private life, witnessing personal, political and universal forces colliding when we “fall” from innocence. While the characters in the play are fictional, much of the story is based on Arthur Miller’s tumultuous relationship with his second wife, Marilyn Monroe.

In this production, to explore the inner workings of Quentin’s mind, the players in his life will be interacting with him as live projections, demonstrating that memories are what we project on to ourselves.

The cast will include Julie Bermel, Mary Carrig, Michael Chandler, Vince Cusimano, Gabriela Fresquez, Patrick Hancock, Brian Robert Harris, Jeni Incontro, Dennis Irwin, Jennefer Ludwigsen, Sandra Saad, Sharon Samples, Chris Smith.

The creative team will include Michael Gend (lighting design); Adam Rosen, Mark Howard (set design); Matt Richter (sound design); Eileen Gizienski (costume design); Vinnie Reyes, Jon McBride (music design); and Sandra Saad (makeup design).
