Casting has been announced for the Geffen Playhouse’s production of Geoffrey Nauffts’ Next Fall, to make its West Coast premiere, October 25-December 4, with an opening on November 2. Sheryl Kaller, who helmed the original Off-Broadway and Broadway productions of the play, will once again direct.

The play centers on the relationship between Adam, an atheist, and Luke, a devout Christian. When Luke is involved in a critical accident and his family and friends descend upon the couple, these longtime differences collide, forcing opposing views on faith into a stand-off.

Playwright Nauffts will take on the lead role of Adam, with the cast also featuring Ken Barnett (Brandon), Betsy Brandt (Holly), Jeff Fahey (Butch), Lesley Ann Warren (Arlene), and James Wolk (Luke).

The creative team will include set designer Wilson Chin, costume designer Kate Bergh, lighting designer Jeff Croiter, and sound designer/composer John Gromada.
