Full Casting Announced for Reprise! Flora, the Red Menace

Gibby Brand, Wilkie Ferguson, Perry Ojeda, Katie O’Toole, Matthew Rochelau, Katherine von Till, and Megan Lawrence will join previously announced stars Eden Espinosa and Manoel Felciano in the Reprise! production of the John Kander-Fred Ebb musical Flora, The Red Menace, to play UCLA’s Freud Playhouse, May 6-18. The production, which will feature a revised book by David Thompson, will be directed by Philip Himberg with choreography by Christopher Pilafian.

Flora, which premiered on Broadway in 1965, tells the story of a spunky young woman determined to make it as a fashion designer during the Depression in New York City, and falls in love with a member of the Communist Party. The musical’s numbers include “Sing Happy” and “A Quiet Thing.”

In related Reprise! news, Emmy Award winner Carol Burnett will appear in a special conversation with Himberg at the Freud Playhouse on Monday, May 12. Actress Vicki Lewis will be the special musical guest for the evening.
