Ben Bradley, a principal staff member at Los Angeles’ Fountain Theatre, has died, according to a report in The Los Angeles Times. He was found stabbed to death in his apartment in what police say may have been a robbery. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Bradley had worked at the Fountain Theatre for 16 years and had become its public face, largely responsible for managing box office operations. In addition to his work front-of-house, he would also work on artistic projects at the theater.

At the time of his death, he was directing Ifa Bayeza’s The Ballad of Emmett Till, which retells the true story of a black teenager whose murder helped to spark the civil rights movement. The production, scheduled to run February 6 – March 6, will move ahead as planned in his honor.
