Ellen Burstyn, Ciaran Hinds, Sigourney Weaver Set for USA’s Political Animals

Stage and screen star Ellen Burstyn will joiin Ciaran Hinds, Carla Gugino, Sebastian Stan, Sigourney Weaver and James Wolk in USA’s six-hour drama series Political Animals, according to Deadline.com
The show will center on Elaine Barrish (Weaver), a former First Lady who is newly appointed Secretary of State and who throws herself into the job after recovering from the dissolution of her marriage and losing the presidential nomination.
Burstyn will play Elaine’s mother, Margaret; Hinds will play Weaver’s ex-husband.; Wolk and Stan will play their twin sons, Doug an ambitious politico who serves as his mother’s chief of staff, and Thomas, who is struggling with addiction, while Gugino will play Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper reporter Susan Berg, a hungry DC journalist bent on destroying Barrish’s career.
