Eliza Jane Schneider’s Freedom of Speech Set for Sidewalk Studio Theater

Eliza Jane Schneider is set to open her show, Freedom of Speech, at the Sidewalk Studio Theater, November 7-November 20. Sal Romeo will direct.

Drawn from over 1,000 interviews Schneider conducted throughout the country, Freedom of Speech presents over thirty of the people she met in her travels. Sparked by a senior thesis project in World Arts and Cultures at UCLA for which she received a BFA, Schneider acquired a second-hand ambulance to make the 317,000 mile journey.

Schneider has voiced nearly all of the female characters on the TV series South Park, and she is a regular on Beakman’s World and Girlfriends. Her other plays include Road Trip, USA 911, Blue Girl, and Sounds of Silence: A Documentary Puppet Musical Farce About the 2004 Election in Ohio.
