David Dean Bottrell Set for Colony Theatre’s Better Angels

Stage and screen star David Dean Bottrell has been cast in Wayne Peter Liebman’s Better Angels, to run October 21 – November 22 at the Colony Theater. Dan Bonnell will direct.

The historically based play focuses on a widow who, after unsuccessfully petitioning President Abraham Lincoln for a military hospital she believes should be built in Wisconsin, develops a surprisingly open friendship with the commander-in-chief. Bottrell will play John Hays, who was Lincoln’s personal secretary and later went on the write the first biography of Lincoln.
