Cornerstone to Debut Making Paradise: The West Hollywood Musical

Cornerstone Theater Company will present its first original book musical in its 25-year history, Making Paradise: The West Hollywood Musical, to play Fiesta Hall in Plummer Park, October 14-November 7, with an official opening on November 7. Michael John Garcés and Mark Valdez will direct, with choreography by Sheetal Gandhi.

The show will feature a book by Tom Jacobson, music by Deborah Wicks La Puma, and lyrics by Shishir Kurup. It follows what happens when residents in an urban pocket of western L.A. decide to band together in their quest for community, sanctuary and rent control.

The creative team will include Shigeru Yaji (scenic design), Meghan E. Healey (costume design), Tom Ontiveros (lighting design), Alyssa Ishii (sound design), and Kyle de Tarnowsky (musical director).

This collaboration with the City of West Hollywood is part of the City’s year-long 25th Anniversary of Cityhood celebration.
