Cast Set for Lydia at the Mark Taper Forum

Center Theatre Group has announced casting for its production of Lydia, by Octavio Solis, which will play the Mark Taper Forum April 2-May 17, with an opening set for April 15. Juliette Carrillo will direct.

The play is set in the Texas border town of El Paso during the 1970s, and revolves around a Mexican American family struggling with the aftermath of an accident, and the mysterious young caregiver hired for the family’s injured young daughter.

The cast will include Carlo Albán, Max Arciniega, Stephanie Beatriz, Catalina Maynard, Onahoua Rodriguez, Tony Sancho, and Daniel Zacapa. The creative team will include Christopher Acebo (set), Christal Weatherly (costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting), David Molina (sound design, additional music and string arrangements), and Chris Webb (original compositions).
