Cast, Creative Team Set for World Premiere of The Bitter Herbs

The cast and creative team is set for the world premiere of The Bitter Herbs, an evening of short comedies by Mark Troy, which will run at the Sidewalk Studio Theater, March 21-May 2. Sal Romeo will direct.

Featured plays include The Plot, in which a daughter deals with her neurotic Jewish mother’s demands; Basic 7, about a married couple who realize they don’t need to spice up their lives; Hood Ratz, which depicts siblings who find their long lost brother is not exactly what they wanted; Join The Club, where newlyweds attempt to make the ultimate sacrifice of love for each other before their wedding day only to find out they might have gone too far; and The Misguided Production, a story of mis-communication during an interview for a seminaked production of Fiddler on the Roof.

The cast will feature Bryan Richard Deehring, Malcolm Devine, Francesca Ferrara, Colette Freedman, Danny Lippin, Sharon Madden, Mike McGill, Nickella Moschetti, and Michael Shaw. The creative team will include Marc Haupert (set design) and Kurt Swanson (lighting design).
