Brandon Albright to Star in La Mirada’s Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story

Brandon Albright will star in the title role of Alan Janes and Rob Bettinson’s BUDDY – The Buddy Holly Story, to run April 16 – May 2 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. Glenn Casale will direct the production, which will feature choreography by Dana Solimando and musical direction by Darryl Archibald.

The show is a tribute to rock ‘n’ roll singer Buddy Holly, who died in a plane crash in 1959. The musical features over 20 of his greatest hits including “Peggy Sue,” “That’ll Be The Day,” “Oh Boy,” “Not Fade Away,” “Everyday,” “Rave On,” “Maybe Baby,” “Raining In My Heart,” Ritchie Valens’ “La Bamba,” and the Big Bopper’s “Chantilly Lace.”

The company will also feature Steve Alderfer, Jack Bartlett, Omar D. Brancato, T.J. Dawson, Darrin Glesser, Bill Lewis, Christia Mantzke, Maegan McConnell, Manuel Romero, Arthur L. Ross, Brent Schindele, Andy Taylor, Jennifer Leigh Warren, Matt Wolpe, and Cody Wood.

The creative team will include John Iacovelli (scenic design), Steven Young (lighting design), Marcy Froehlich (costume design), and Josh Bessom (sound design).
