Bootleg Theater to Present Kristina Wong in One-Woman Show Going Green the Wong Way

Bootleg Theater is set to present Kristina Wong in her one-woman show Going Green the Wong Way, June 28-July 15. Paul Tei will direct.

Going Green the Wong Way is based on Wong’s real-life adventures, but elevated to surrealist heights. The production follows her from a confrontational 6th grade science project and through her wandering years as a missionary of recycling.

Following her run at Bootleg Theater, Kristina will be taking Going Green the Wong Way to the famed Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Kristina has been guest commentator for American Public Media’s Marketplace, PBS, Jezebel, and Playgirl Magazine. Her work has been awarded with grants from Creative Capital, MAPFUND, Center for Cultural Innovation, and a residency from the MacDowell Colony.
