Bonita Friedericy, Robert McCracken, et al. Set for Jordan Harrison’s Futura

Casting has been announced for the world premiere of Jordan Harrison’s Futura, to run September 30-November 7 at The Theatre @ Boston Court. Jessica Kubzansky will direct the production, which is a shared world premiere with Portland Center Stage and the National Asian American Theatre Company.

Set in the not-too-distant future, when books have become mythological and the use of ink on paper is a lost art, the play focuses on a rogue professor sets out to avenge her missing husband by conducting a dangerous lesson on typography.

The company will feature Bonita Friedericy, Robert McCracken, Edward Tournier and Zarah Mahler.

The creative team will include Myung Hee Cho (scenic design), Jaymi Lee Smith (lighting design), John Zalewski (sound design), Leah Piehl (costume design), and Hana Sooyeon Kim, (projection design).
