Bette Midler to Auction Stage Costumes

Julien’s Auctions will present The Collection of Bette Midler to be auctioned on Saturday, November 12.

The collection contains over 300 items from the iconic performer’s life and career, including several costumes from her Las Vegas run of The Showgirl Must Go On. Highlights also include a Bob Mackie dress worn during her Bette! Divine Madness tour.

Additional memorabilia items include a Bette Midler Cover Dress by Bob De Mora featured on the cover of the 1998 album Bathhouse Betty; Bette Midler’s First Audition Dress; a Bette Midler Evening Gown by Valentino; a Bette Midler Vintage Emilio Pucci Jumpsuit; the 2009 Bette Midler Royal Variety Performance Dress; and a 1979 Bette Midler Tour Performance Jumpsuit.

Midler made her Broadway debut in the original company of Fiddler on the Roof, and received a special Tony Award in conjunction with her Clams on the Half Shell Revue. She received Oscar nominations for her work in the films The Rose and For the Boys.

The items can be viewed at Julien’s Auctions gallery in Beverly Hills at 9665 Wilshire Boulevard from 10am to 5pm Monday through Saturday starting Monday October 31 through Friday, November 11.
