Ben Cross, John Glover, David Selby et al. Set for L.A. Theatre Works’ Dracula

Updated casting has been announced for L.A. Theatre Works’ presentation of Dracula, at the Skirball Cultural Center, May 18-22. Rosalind Ayres will direct.

Charles Morey’s play, based on the novel by Bram Stoker, pits Count Dracula against Dr. Van Helsing, who is the only one able to stop the carnage of the ruthless vampire. All performances will be recorded to air on L.A. Theatre Works’ syndicated radio theater series,which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.

As previously reported, Ben Cross, who starred as the vampire Barnabas Collins in TV’s Dark Shadows, will play the title role while David Selby will play Van Helsing, with Lisa O’Hare as Mina and Moira Quirk as Lucy. Newly announced principal cast members include John Glover as Renfield, Karl Miller as Jonathan Harker, and Nick Toren as Dr. Seward. The cast also features Denise Carole, Sheelagn Cullen and Andre Sogliuzzo.
