Actor and director Del Shores will present a benefit performance of his one-act play The Assembly Line, October 29 at 7pm at the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center’s Renberg Theatre for the Family Equality Council.

Hosted by Del Shores with an introduction by Beau Bridges and a special testimonial by Miss Coco Peru, the evening will also feature a gospel tune from Rosemary and Newell Alexander and another song by recording artist Debby Holiday. The event will be followed by VIP courtyard reception.

The Assembly Line is the story of a group of women from the Assembly of God faith who get together once a week to stuff envelopes for a southern evangelist preacher and what happens when they find an absent member has gone to Vermont to attend her gay son’s wedding.

The cast will feature Caroline Rhea, Rosemary Alexander, Ann Walker, Susan Leslie, and Dale Dickey.
