Annette Bening to Present Brian Stokes Mitchell with Actors Fund’s Julie Harris Award

Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell will receive the Actors Fund’s Julie Harris Award at the organization’s 14th annual Tony Awards party, to be held on June 13 from 3:30pm-8pm at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles. Annette Bening will present the prize, which recognizes not only Mitchell’s theatrical accomplishments, but also his leadership as Chairman of the Board of The Actors Fund. Tommy Tune will host the event.

The celebration will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction, which will be followed by dinner, the award presentation and the broadcast of the Tony Awards ceremony from New York.

Mitchell won a Tony Award for his performance in Kiss Me Kate, and received Tony Award nominations for his work in Ragtime, Man of La Mancha and King Hedley II. Among his other credits are Kiss of the Spider Woman, Jelly’s Last Jam, and Oh, Kay!
