Annette Bening, Katie Holmes to Be Honored at Crystal + Lucy Awards

Stage and screen stars Annette Bening and Katie Holmes will be among the honorees at the 2011 Crystal + Lucy Awards, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on June 16.

Bening, who will receive the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film, has numerous stage credits, including The Female of the Species, Medea, Hedda Gabler, and Coastal Disturbances. She was recently nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for The Kids Are All Right.

Holmes, who will be honored as the Women in Film Max Mara “Face of the Future,” made her Broadway debut in All My Sons. Among her many film credits are Batman Begins and The Ice Storm, and she currently stars in the controversial miniseries The Kennedys.

Additional honorees will include Pamela Fryman, Reed Morano, and Nina Tassler.

Women in Film is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women achieve their highest potential within the entertainment, communications and media industries.
