Annette Bening, Bryan Cranston, Peter Gallagher, Shirley Jones, et al. Set for Geffen’s It’s a Wonderful Life

Full casting has been announced for the previously reported special benefit staging of Joe Landry’s It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play at the Geffen Playhouse at 3pm and 8pm on Saturday, December 10. Bart DeLorenzo will direct the presentation.

This adaption captures the heartwarming holiday spirit of the classic film with the nostalgia of a live radio play.

The cast will feature Annette Bening, Bryan Cranston, Peter Gallagher, Glenne Headley, Marty Ingels, Gregory Itzin, Shirley Jones, Leslie Jordan, Josh Stamberg, and
Lorraine Toussaint.

For the event, which will benefit the Geffen Playhouse and The Actors Fund, the Geffen Playhouse lobby will be transformed to reflect a slice of winter life in picturesque Bedford Falls (the setting of the classic film).

There will also be tasty holiday themed treats, pre-show entertainment by The Chantilly Sisters, and the Geffen Playhouse will also be partnering with Keyes for Kids Toy Drive to help bring gifts into the lives of children in need.
