Ana Gasteyer and Megan Hilty Join Cast of Annie
They join the previously announced Lea Salonga in a production directed by Michael Arden at the Hollywood Bowl.
Ana Gasteyer and Megan Hilty will join the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Annie June 27-29. Gasteyer will play Miss Hannigan, and Hilty will play Lily St. Regis. They join the previously announced Lea Salonga as Grace Farrell. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
Gasteyer, best known for her work on Saturday Night Live, currently stars in People on Earth on TBS and Lady Dynamite on Netflix, and was recently on two live network musicals, Grease Live! and A Christmas Story Live! Hilty, best known for her portrayal of Ivy Lynn on NBC's Smash, was nominated for Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her performance in the 2016 Roundabout Theatre Company production of Noises Off.
Annie will be helmed by Once on This Island director Michael Arden, conducted by Todd Ellison, and choreographed by Eamon Foley. The musical features a book by Thomas Meehan, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and music by Charles Strouse, who turns 90 this June. To mark the occasion, a yearlong celebration of events, including tributes, concerts, revivals, and international productions will take place across the United States and around the world.
