American Idol, Justin Bieber, Johnny Depp, Selena Gomez, et al Win Kids Choice Awards

Nickelodeon’s 2011 Kids Choice Awards were held at the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 2 at 8pm and aired on the network. Jack Black hosted the ceremony.


Winners included the television series American Idol, iCarly, and SpongeBob Square Pants; the movies Despicable Me and The Karate Kid; musicians Justin Bieber, The Black Eyed Peas, and Katy Perry; and actors Jackie Chan, Miley Cyrus, Johnny Depp, Eddie Murphy, Selena Gomez, and Dylan Sprouse. Special awards were presented to actor Josh Duhamel and actor and singer Justin Timberlake.


Among the nominees were such theater veterans as Nick Jonas, nominated for Favorite TV Actor; Ashley Judd, nominated for Favorite Movie Actress for Tooth Fairy; Will Ferrell, nominated for the Favorite Butt-Kicker Award for his work in Megamind; and Usher, nominated for Favorite Male Singer.
