Michelle Dawson to Lead Mamma Mia! at John W. Engeman Theater

The ABBA musical will have a run in Northport, Long Island.

Northport's John W. Engeman Theater has announced casting for its upcoming production of Mamma Mia! Directed and choreographed by Antoinette DiPietropolo, with musical direction by James Olmstead, the musical will run July 21-September 11.

Heading the company of the ABBA musical are Michelle Dawson as Donna Sheridan, Jacob Dickey as Sky, Sean Hayden as Sam Carmichael, Heather Patterson as Tanya, Robin Lounsbury as Rosie, Hannah Slabaugh as Sophie, Jeff Williams as Bill, and Frank Vlastnik as Harry.

The ensemble is made up of Lydia Ruth Dawson, Joey Dippel, Jay Gamboa, Christopher Hlinka, Stephanie Israelson, Yurina Kutsukake, Darius Jordan Lee, Suzanne Mason, Edward Miskie, Anjuli Regnier, Avery Royal, and Jennifer Seifter.

On the creative team are DT Willis (scenic design), Tristan Raines (costume design), Adam Honore (lighting design), Adam Shubert (sound design), and Kristie Moschetta (props design).

Featuring the music of the pop band ABBA and a book by Catherine Johnson, Mamma Mia! tells the story of a young woman who attempts to discover the identity of her father as her wedding approaches. It officially opened October 18, 2001 at the Winter Garden Theatre and moved to the Broadhurst Theatre on November 2, 2013. It ended its run on September 5, 2015.
